LinkzList.com - security

LinkzList.com provides a curtain amount of privacy by storing your favorites or bookmarks in the cloud and not on your computer. There is also a degree of deniability provided by using multiple accounts. Remember to clear your temporary files from your browser, if you are concerned about privacy.

Some companies especially larger ones track your surfing, mostly it is passive i.e. it will only block you if a virus or other malicious behaviour is detected, but others will block and alert inappropriate sites. Using SSL or https:// sites can stop snooping as the secure connection can only be read by your PC and the website you are connected to. An exception to this is when an organisation provides you with a certificate which you must install on your pc to use their Internet connection. This certificate allows them to monitor https sites that you visit. There is a giveaway here though, you can double click on the padlock that appears in the address bar. This will tell you who is decrypting your connection, if all is well it should be the name of the website your are browsing, if a third party is monitoring you, it will be a different name. i.e. you are looking at your account page on Amazon double clicking on the padlock will refer to Amazon.
